The Dr and the Chef thought we would have a look at the Coonawarra’s most famous wines….. Cabernet Sauvignon. The red earth of the terra rossa soils of the Coonawarra region in the South East of South Australia are famous for the quality of the Cabernet Sauvignon that it produces. Many of Australia’s most famous wine brands, and flagship Cabernet’s are filled with fruit from this region. The Coonawarra has a reputation for being “the place” to buy a Cabernet from in Australia, if not the world.

So we delved into the wine cellar, and found two great Coonawarra Cabernet’s to compare. Both coming from Coonawarra estate wineries, and both at the mid price point for quality. We thought we would compare:

Reschke Wines – The Bos. Cabernet Sauvignon RRP A35-$40
Parker Coonawarra Estate Wines – Terra Rossa Cabernet Sauvignon RRP A$ 35-40
